MetaChat was created as a another place for members to touch base outside of MetaFilter. We specialise in threads that are light, conversational, daft, and that don't necessarily belong on MetaTalk, MeFi, or AskMe. People have also used Metachat to post questions that are too basic or too general for AskMe, or to test the waters for their Metafilter posts.
