PUBLIC MARKS with tags history & delicious

Nous vous parlions il y a deux semaines de l’initiatives de deux jeunes journalistes qui réalisent un webdocumentaire sur les “monsieur tout le monde parisiens” (interview à venir bientôt sur le site). C’est au tour du New-York Times de publier un joli webdocumentaire (commencée il y a tout de même deux ans) décrivant les “gens ordinaires qui racontent des histoires extraordinaires” : la mère adolescente, la paparazzi, le vétéran d’Irak, le juré qui dit 200 fois par jour “bonjour”… Le tout est composé de 54 petits diaporamas sonores en noir et blanc, très bien travaillés que vous pouvez regarder dans l’ordre que vous voulez (interactivité oblige…).

A Gamble in the Sand The history of Las Vegas is the ultimate American rags-to-riches story, filled with unusual heroes and foes. This 103-year-old saga follows the city through its incredible ups and downs, and highlights how and where some of the U.S.’s most monumental moments occurred. The largest American city founded in the 20th century took shape as a railroad watering hole before turning into the "Gateway to the Hoover Dam." From there the town was known by its seedy mob label as “Sin City,” before finally transforming into the corporately-financed adult playground called the "Entertainment Capital of the World."

he Tribe weaves together archival footage, graphics, animation, Barbie dioramas, and slam poetry to take audiences on an electric ride through the complex history of both the Barbie doll and the Jewish people- from Biblical times to present day. By tracing Barbie's history, the film sheds light on the questions: What does it mean to be an American Jew today? What does it mean to be a member of any tribe in the 21st Century?

Le web documentaire débute le 13 août 1961, jour de la construction du mur, pour s'achever le 3 octobre 1990 au moment de la réunification allemande. Entre ces deux événements marquants, une histoire. Celle de la vie autour du mur, des évasions spectaculaires (comme celle des 3 et 5 octobre 1964 qui a vu 57 allemands de l'Est creusé un tunnel pour fuir la RDA), et de l'histoire qui s'accélère en octobre et novembre 1989. Construit à partir des archives de l'Institut national d'audiovisuel (INA) et du journal le Monde, le web documentaire mélange vidéos, photographies et articles de l'époque. En plus de ces témoignages du passé, le documentaire est enrichi de témoignages de personnalités et d'anonymes qui racontent aujourd'hui comment ils ont vécu la chute du Mur et les jours qui ont suivi. Ces témoignages rappellent, qu'au delà de l'impact politique, la chute du mur est aussi un événement qui a profondément marqué les citoyens.
