A Penny
Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house.

Meeting God
There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of root beer and he started his journey.

In His Mother's Footsteps
It was a busy day in our Costa Mesa, California, home. But then, with ten children and one on the way, every day was a bit hectic. On this particular day, however, I was having trouble doing even routine chores-all because of one little boy.
Parable of the Rose

Be Thankful
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
One Bad Apple
Don’t we love having a choice? We like to choose what we put on our hamburger and what we can wear to school. We can choose from four grades of milk and two manufactures. We can buy our favorite sweatshirt in red, blue or black. And if you what it in green, we’ll special order it for you. We choose our careers, friends, and our banks. People like to be able to think for themselves--we want a choice.

All the Way to the Bottom
Les Roberts was driving across the old bridge. He remembered well how deep it was. Many a time as a kid Les had tried to swim down and touch it only to be rebuffed by shortness of breath and thick weeds that protected the bottom.
Our Day In The Light Of Providence
This story took place in the historic Wyoming Valley, in Pennsylvania, in the times of 1778. An aged father living in the mountains had asked his sons to go the next day to the mill in the valley with corn to replenish the meal chest. The boys prepared bright and early for the journey, expecting to spend the night as usual at the mill, and return the day after.
Do You Love Me?
One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah, the beauty of God's creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work.
