Intel officially announced today the 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors, including Core i3, i5, and i7 series for laptops. The new lineup features dual- and quad-core 32-nanometer chips, which incorporate CPUs, the latest Intel HD graphics processors, and memory controllers on a single die.

The first motherboards for the upcoming Intel 2nd generation Core processors, codenamed “Sandy Bridge“, are now listed at some e-tailers in the US. Excaliber PC has in stock the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3 ($145.90) and GA-P67A-UD4 ($211.50) mobos, while Newegg lists a currenlty unavailable ASRock P67 Extreme4. These LGA 1155 Socket motherboards are based on Intel P67 chipset.
