Dude, where's my civil war?
(via)I'm trying. I've been trying all week. The other day, I drove another 30 miles or so on the streets and alleys of Baghdad. I'm looking for the civil war that The New York Times declared. And I just can't find it.
Maybe actually being on the ground in Iraq prevents me from seeing it. Perhaps the view's clearer from Manhattan. It could be that my background as an intelligence officer didn't give me the right skills.

Black women "choose" to have 32 percent of abortions that take place in the country, despite representing only 12 percent of the population. According to the Centers for Disease Control, "the abortion rate for black women was 3.1 times the rate for white women."

Supreme Court Upholds Parental Notification Law
The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled that a lower court was wrong to strike down New Hampshire's parental notification law.
In a unanimous decision written by retiring Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, the justices let the abortion restriction stand.
