PUBLIC MARKS from adfunk with tags golf & "golf tips"

When I was a kid, I used to wonder what on earth is so fascinating about a man/woman hitting a little white ball using a club under the hot sun. Neither did I understand why hundreds of people stand under the sun to watch someone hit a ball, then clap their hands softly or make a fuss after the ball is hit. The thing I really did not get is why people have to squat to kind of measure the distance between the golf ball and the hole.
